Obituary

None of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself.  If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord; so then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's. For to this end Christ died and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.  Romans 14:7-9
 

Mr. William Henry Richardson, Jr., 88, affectionately known as “Junie”, son of the late William H. Richardson, Sr., and Sallie Nicholson, was born March 18, 1929 in Warrenton, NC.  He departed this life on March 29, 2017 at Louisburg Nursing Center in Louisburg, NC.

William was educated in the Warren County public school system.

Early in his life, William was baptized and joined the Shocco Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, and served faithfully as a Sunday school superintendent, Senior Choir member, and later served as a Deacon until his death.

William was married to his surviving and devoted wife, Martha Lee Dunston for sixty-six years.

The Funeral Service will be conducted Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 1:00 PM from the Shocco Chapel Baptist Church.  Pastor Lennis Thorp will deliver the eulogy.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

William leaves to cherish his memory, six children: Eddie R. Dunston, David Richardson, and Jasper Richardson, all of Louisburg, NC; Annie Jean Williams of Baltimore, MD, Agnes Richardson of Warrenton, NC, and Buck Richardson (Teresa) of Goldsboro, NC; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers: Samuel Richardson (Alma) of Louisburg, NC, and Walter Richardson (Lenora) of Franklinton, NC; three godchildren: Thomas Williams, Clemon Bullock, and “Cookie” Giles; and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends.

Mr. Richardson may be viewed Tuesday, April 4th in the R. H. Greene Funeral Home Chapel from 12:00 noon until 7:00 PM, and at the church one hour prior to the service.
