Obituary

Mr. James Henry Taylor, age 72, son of the late Willie Ree Taylor and Winnie E Collins, was born March 4, 1945 in Warren County, North Carolina.  He passed away on the June 26, 2017 at the Sentara Healthplex Hospital in Newport News, VA.

He was employed at Stationers Engraving Inc. in New York for over thirty years where he worked as a Machinist/ Engraver of hand printed stationery.  He retired due to health issues in 2008 and relocated to Newport News, VA where he attended Providence Baptist Church.

The funeral service will be conducted Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Jordan Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Macon, NC.  Rev. W. A. Boyd will deliver the eulogy.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his five children; James Taylor Jr., Ashernita, Madinah, Najah, Jared; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four brother and sisters; and many close relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 12:00 noon at the church.
