Grace H Rowlette

Mrs. Grace H. Rowlett, 96, of Norlina, NC, born to the late Mary Lee Blackwell and James Hunter on June 27, 1921 in Warren County, NC. She entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Duke University Hospital of Durham, NC. She was a faithful follower of the Lord, and chose Whites Grove Christian Church in Norlina, NC as her place of worship. She was joined in matrimony on August 12, 1943 to Frank Howard Rowlett. Twelve children were born to this union. The funeral service will be conducted Friday, July 28, 2917 at 1:00 PM from the White’s Grove Christian Church. Pastor John R. Pugh will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. She leaves to cherish her memory, eleven children, Henry Rowlett (Rose) of Ossining, New York, Geraldine Brown (Joe) of Norlina, North Carolina, Howard Rowlett (Tuta) of Mt. Vernon, New York, Alberta Wright (Willie) of Norlina, North Carolina, Grace Marie Rowlett of Norlina, North Carolina, Alpean Hightower of Norlina, North Carolina, Denise Rowlett of Norlina, North Carolina, David Rowlett (Jeannette) of Virginia Beach, Virginia, James Rowlett (Joan) of Patterson, New York, Charles Rowlett (Kathy) of Norlina, North Carolina, and Lola Campbell of Raleigh, North Carolina; she also raised two grandchildren as her own: Deborah Rowlett of Durham, North Carolina, and Gail Rowlett of Middleton, New York; several other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. Mrs. Rowlett may be viewed today in the R. H. Greene funeral Home Chapel from 11:00 AM until 7:00 PM, and at the church one hour prior to the service.
