George "Jack" Burton

We believe that Jesus died and rose again; and so it will be for those who have died in Christ.

God will raise them to be with the Lord forever. Comfort one another with these words.

Mr. George “Jack” Burton, Jr., son of the late George and Eunice Burton, was born June 4,

1928 in Warren County, NC. He entered into eternal rest on March 7, 2017 at Warren Hills

Nursing Center in Warrenton, NC.

He received his education in the Warren County Public School System.

It was early in his life that George was baptized, and joined the church.

On April 8, 1950, he married Annie Esther Talley, and they were married for sixty-four years.

He was a hard worker, and worked tireless on a daily basis to provide for his family; farming,

factory worker, and was a delivery man, among some of the numerous jobs that he worked over

the years. Some referred to him fondly as “a Jack of all trades”.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughters: Flora Falcon and Mary Sutton (Marvin); his son:

Michael Burton; one sister: Della Bolton; ten grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren;

and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
