Eddie Roy Dunston

Mr. Eddie Roy Dunston,72, was born October 2, 1945 in Franklin County, North Carolina and reared by his mother, the late Martha Dunston and step-father, William R. Richardson, Jr. He departed this life on Friday, December 1, 2017 at his home in Louisburg, North Carolina.

At an early age, he confessed Christ as his personal savior and joined the Shocco Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. He received his education in the Franklin County School System.

“Kitty Roy” as he was affectionately called by his family and friends worked for years in the logging and lumber industry. He was employed by Pruitt Lumber, Benny Baumgardner, James West and Fred Harris.

Although Eddie was never married, he enjoyed many years of love and happiness with his special friend, Goldie Foster.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the Shocco Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where the Rev. Lennis Thorpe will officiate.

Saddened but submitted to God’s will, those left to cherish precious moments of “Kitty Roy” are: his loving companion, Goldie Foster; her children, Victor, Connie and Bobby and grandson, Jasmen; three brothers, Buck Richardson (Teresa) of Goldsboro, North Carolina, David Richardson and Jasper Richardson, both of Louisburg, North Carolina; two sisters, Annie J. Williams of Baltimore, Maryland and Agnes Richardson of Warrenton, North Carolina; two uncles, Samuel Richardson (Alma) of Louisburg, North Carolina and Walter Richardson (Leonora) of Franklinton, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mr Dunston may be viewed on Tuesday from 11am to 7pm at the R.H. Greene Funeral Home Chapel.
