Dora Ann Rich

Dora Ann Rich, 68, the daughter of the late Raymond Rich and Louise Parham Rich-Moss, and Lawrence Moss, was born September 15, 1949 in Henderson, NC. She departed this life on April 26, 2017, surrounded by her cousins: Debra Gerald, Rose Hudson, Veronica Stewart, and her special friend: Bobby Evans at Parker Rehabilitation Center in New Hyde Park, NY. Early in her life she was baptized and joined the Locust Grove Baptist Church in Wise, NC. She was a 1967 graduate of North Warren High School. Upon graduation, she relocated to New York, NY where she attended the School of Dentistry. She was later employed with the New York City Housing Authority in the legal department where she was employed for thirty-two years before retiring. Dora leaves to cherish her memory, four sisters: Venicia Moss Harris (Larry), Gloria Rich Sledge (Larry), Debra Rich Cooper, and Terri Rich Patterson; four nieces and four nieces. She cherished her friendship with Sandra Fogg, Debra Gerald, Norvell Stewart, Gail Read (her fishing partner); and many cherished family and friends. Ms. Rich may be viewed Friday, May 5 th in the R. H. Greene Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 7:00 PM; and at the church one hour prior to the service. Arrangements entrusted to R. H. Greene Funeral Home of Warrenton, NC.
