Alex Valentine

Mr. Alex Valentine, Sr., 87, son of the late John Valentine, was born December 14, 1929 in Warren County, NC. He departed this life on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Maria Parham Health, Henderson, NC. He was educated in the Warren County public school system. Early in life, he was baptized and joined the Ridgeway Missionary Baptist Church where he served in several positions, including: Trustee Board, Superintendent of Sunday School, Usher Board, and Deacon Board, along with numerous others. The Funeral Service will be conducted Saturday, November 25, 2017 from the Ridgeway Missionary Baptist Church in Ridgeway, NC at 11:00 AM. The pastor, The Reverend W. T. Ramey, III will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of five years: Eunice Valentine of the home; seven children: Alex Valentine, Jr. (Linda) of Graham, NC, Reginald Valentine (Edith) of Rocky Mount, NC, Joann Wright (Alex) of Norlina, Connie Vital (George) of Raleigh, NC, Dedric Alston of Norlina, NC, Kenneth Davis of Warrenton, NC, and Yvonne Martin of Baltimore, MD; one step-son: Keith Johnson (Tyra) of Houston, Texas; one brother: George Valentine; and one sister: Fannie Weathington, both of Norlina, NC; and a host of grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mr. Valentine may be viewed Friday, November 24th in the R. H. Greene Funeral Home Chapel from 1:00 PM until 7:00 PM, and at the church one hour prior to the service.
