William P. Alston, Jr.

Revelation 21:4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain.

On the morning of February 13, 2026 God whispered "well done" and called William home. His journey ended at Litchford Falls Health and Rehabilitation Center, Raleigh NC.

He was known in the Warrenton community as the owner of Alston Convenient Market; but, his children will always remember him as 'Daddy'. William leaves behind a rich legacy spanning four generations - Five children: Ronnie Alston, Francine Alston, Quentin Alston (Shellome), Jeffrey (Martha) Alston, Zaneta Boyd; Eight grandchildren: Amy(Derek) Davis, Zaneta “Nikki”(Calvin) Allen, Jessica Alston, Kevin Alston, Bria Yates, Quenclyn Alston, Justin Boyd, Mone’e Boyd; Four great-grandchildren: Samaria Davis, Simone Davis, Amare Davis, Brooklyn Alston; Two great-great grandchildren Ezrah Grainger, Aliza Grainger; Two aunts, Letha Brown and Geraldine Alston; Five sister in-laws, Rose Alston, Freda Alston, Geraldine (John) Hargrove, Cora Eva (James) Boyd, and Veronica (Don) Pickett; Three brother in-laws, Lee (Pat) Thrower, Willie “Junior” Thrower, Claudine Robinson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Viewing will be held at R.H. Greene Funeral Home Warrenton, NC on Thursday, February 26, 2026 from 1:00 - 6:00 pm. A Memorial Service will be held Friday February 27, 2026 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Greater New Life Temple (formally Alston Convenient Market) 1159 MLK Blvd Warrenton NC. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday February 28, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church 1258 Cole Farm Rd Warrenton, NC 27589 and burial will follow in the cemetery.
