Walter Edward Boyd

When we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be, when we all see Jesus, we will sing and shout the victory.  With hearts of compassion, R. H. Greene Funeral Home is standing with the relatives of Mr. Walter Edward Boyd, age 86 of Norlina, North Carolina.  Mr. Boyd transitioned on Friday, June 13, 2025 at his residence.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Whites Grove Christian Church in Norlina, North Carolina.  The Reverend Antoinette Jones, Pastor will officiate and Pastor John Clanton will deliver the eulogy.

Everlasting memories will forever be cherished by:  six children, Walter Boyd, Jr. (Sibylle) of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Larry D. Boyd, Ken Boyd, Dorothy Kearney (Bruce) all of Norlina, North Carolina, Annie Woodard (Lonnie) of Butner, North Carolina and Brenda Baskerville of Henderson, North Carolina; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Florine Boyd and Sylvia Jones, both of Norlina, North Carolina; five brothers, Alvin Boyd, Jr., Frank Boyd, both of Norlina, North Carolina, George Boyd of Alexandria, Virginia, Wilbert Boyd (Mamie) of Richmond, Virginia and Eddie Boyd (Carolyn) of Norlina, North Carolina; three sisters-in-law, Geraldine Jones, Elnora Jones (James) and Janet Ellis (Johnny); one brother-in-law, Robert Clark (Elnora); two special friends, Mark Zimmerman and Stephen Wright; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Mr. Boyd will lie in repose on Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at R. H. Greene Funeral Home.
