Vance Jasper Perry

I’ve had many tears and sorrows, I’ve had questions for tomorrow, but through it all, I’ve learned to trust in Jesus and I’ve learned to trust in God.  With sympathy and compassion, R. H. Greene Funeral Home is offering service to the loved ones of Mr. Vance Jasper Perry, age 78 of the Perrytown Community, Warrenton, North Carolina.  Mr. Perry transitioned on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at the Granville Medical Center in Oxford, North Carolina.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Coley Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Warrenton, North Carolina.  The Reverend Carson F. Jones, Jr., Pastor will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Everlasting memories will forever be cherished by:  his wife of 57 years, Rebecca Russell Perry of the home; two sons, Raphael Robinson (Helen) of Youngsville, North Carolina and Craig L. Perry (Gail) of Blythewood, South Carolina; one daughter, Coral "Regina" Williams (Derek) of Conyers, Georgia; one granddaughter, Mariah;  five grandsons, Daniel, Cassius, Demetrius, Christopher "C.J." and Cody; one great-granddaughter, Marcella; one sister, Joyce Williams of Warrenton, North Carolina; one brother, Barnabus MacDonald "Mac" Perry of Croton on the Hudson, New York; six sisters-in-law, Dorothelia Thomas of Delaware, Lula Mae Hargrove of Flushing, New York, Rosa L. Russell of Bronx, New York, Elizabeth Franks of South Ozone Park, New York, Earnestine Russell-Durham of Oxon Hill, Maryland and Savannah Burnett of Pottstown, Pennsylvania; special friends, Howard Barrett, Ronald Robinson, W.G. Bethea and the Friday morning breakfast club; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Mr. Perry will lie in repose in the chapel of R. H. Greene Funeral Home on Friday, July 28, 2023 from 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m.

The family will receive visitors and friends at the home, 488 Perrytown Road, Warrenton, North Carolina.
