Trustee Charlie "Charles" Jefferson

When we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be.  When we all see Jesus, we will sing and shout the victory.  R. H. Greene Funeral Home is offering sympathy and compassion to the loved ones of Trustee Charlie “Charles” Jefferson, age 84 of 368 Russell Union Road in Norlina, North Carolina.  Trustee Jefferson transitioned on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at his residence.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary of Burchette Chapel United Church of Christ.  The Reverend Charlie E. Leath, Pastor will deliver the eulogy and Reverend Mary Jerman will officiate.  Interment will follow in the St. Luke Cemetery in Norlina, North Carolina.

Those left to embrace his memory are:  two brothers, Reverend George A. Jefferson (Barbara) of Palo Alto, California and Dr. James "Bud" Jefferson of Wilmington, North Carolina; one sister-in-law, Carolyn "Ann" Jefferson of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; nieces, Dorothy "Dee" Epps (Ben) of Norlina, North Carolina, Yvonne Hargrove (Lawrence) of Manson, North Carolina, Harriet Smith of Greensboro, North Carolina, Gwen Epps of Mount Vernon, New York, Phyllis Okoduwa of Aurora, Colorado and Dianne Tomlin (Marvin) of Greensboro, North Carolina; nephews, James Jefferson of Rosedale, New York, Climmon Jefferson, II (Michelle) of Washington, North Carolina and Charles Jefferson (Carol) of Knightdale, North Carolina; many great nieces, great nephews, a host of cousins and other relatives of the Bullock-Russell family, as well as many friends and associates.

Trustee Jefferson will lie in repose on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m.  with the family present for greetings from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

All attendees to the service are asked to follow COVID-19 restrictions and masks must be worn.
