Sterling "Wise" Aundra Johnson

Now the laborer's task is over, now the battle day is past.  Now upon the farther shore, lands the voyager at last.  R. H. Greene Funeral Home is offering understanding and love to the relatives of Mr. Sterling Aundra "Wise" Johnson, age 56 of South Hill, Virginia.  Mr. Johnson transitioned on Friday, September 3, 2021 at  the VCU Community Memorial Hospital in South Hill, Virginia.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. from the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Norlina, North Carolina.  Reverend Maggie H. Stinnett will officiate.

He is survived by: four children, Jahmaal Johnson of Clayton County, Georgia, Kaydra Johnson of Tacoma, Washington, Sycrett Hester-Johnson of Greensboro, North Carolina and Alexiya Hazelwood of South Hill, Virginia; a step-daughter, Jazzmin Mills of Atlanta, Georgia; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one sister, Sheila Johnson of Brooklyn, New York; his fiancé, Oneida Vasquez of South Hill, Virginia; a special aunt, Carolyn Khan; a special cousin, Shunnell Lawson; and a plethora of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Mr. Johnson will lie in repose on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
