Shirley Marie Hicks

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross, till my trophies at last I lay down, I will cling to the old rugged cross, and exchange it someday for a crown.  R. H. Greene Funeral Home is offering compassion and service to the loved ones of Mrs. Shirley Marie Hicks, age 77 of Wise, North Carolina.  Mrs. Hicks transitioned on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at the Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson, North Carolina.

A Memorial Celebration of Life will be conducted on Monday, August 23, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of R. H. Greene Funeral Home, with the Reverend Elton R. Buffaloe, officiating.

Everlasting memories will forever be cherished by:  two daughters, Sondra Hicks of the home and Syntha Branch (Alfonzo) of Norlina, North Carolina; one son, Gene Talley of Louisburg, North Carolina; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry Hicks of Manson, North Carolina and Phillip Hicks (Annie Mae) of Norlina, North Carolina; four nephews and one niece, a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive visitors and friends at 537 Paschall Station Road, Warrenton, North Carolina.
