Shirley Thorne Abdullah

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross, till my trophies at last I lay down.  I will cling to the old rugged cross and exchange it someday for a crown.  R. H. Greene Funeral Home is standing with relatives of Mrs. Shirley Thorne Abdullah, age 70 of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania formerly of Warren County, North Carolina.  Mrs. Abdullah transitioned on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at the Albert Einstein Hospital in Philadelphia.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, July 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary of Bethlehem Christian Church in Manson, North Carolina.  Reverend Elizabeth Brame will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt and friend who will live on forever in the hearts of:  Julius Siddiq Abdullah; three sons, Joe Nathan Mann, Jr., Donnale Lee Mann (Astrid) and Mark Anthony Mann; grandchildren, Kayla Mann, Skylar Mann, Dominic Mann, Jasmine Mann, Keith Terry, Jr., Savion Terry, Lashara Stanton, Lachassia Ball, Lakezia Stanton Holder, Jacoby Lively, and Mark Mann, Jr.; great grandchild, Zymir Mann Teagle; four sisters, Rosa Suite, Jeannette Macon, Laverne Jordan and Gloria Taylor; two brothers, Willie Edward Thorne and Wilson Thorne, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Mrs. Abdullah will lie in repose on Saturday, July 22, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
