Mr. Davis transitioned on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of United Solid Rock Faith Ministries in Norlina, North Carolina. The Reverend Antoinette Jones will officiate, Bishop Moore H. Bynum will deliver the eulogy and interment will follow in the United Solid Rock Memorial Gardens.
Everlasting memories will forever be cherished by: his wife, Ada Marie Simes Davis of the home; three children, Tyrone Simes (Charlene) of Norlina, North Carolina, Antonio Tremont Davis (Tonya) and Teheisha Davis, both of Warrenton, North Carolina; nine grandchildren, Ashley Boone, TJ Davis, Tyra Simes, Telaysha Davis, Tierra Davis, Tyrone Simes, Jr., Travione Taylor, Morgan Davis and Ethan Davis; two honorary grandchildren, Cameron Sims and Shanay Neal; four great-grandchildren, Serenity Neal, Zuri Taylor, Malaya Alston and Kaizen Davis; three god-children, Tonyetta Lyons of Buford, Georgia, Caneeca Mayes (Ron) of Henderson, North Carolina and Porsche Anderson of Fayetteville, North Carolina; his mother, Lucille Williams Little of Warrenton, North Carolina; ten siblings, Robert Williams of Norlina, North Carolina, Barbara Jean Davis, Diane Palmer, both of Warrenton, North Carolina, Bessie Meadows (Richard) of Washington, D.C, Brenda Yates (Paul) of Temple Hills, Maryland, Sonya Ogelsby (Gregory) of Warrenton, North Carolina, Deborah Perry (Roun) of Seat Pleasant, Maryland, Regina Shaw (Richard) of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Vivian Woden of Temple Hills, Maryland and Freddie Little, Jr. (Harvey) of San Francisco, California; six aunts, Elaine Harris of Warrenton, North Carolina, Betty Jefferson (Michael), Maxine Alston (Claude), both of Baltimore, Maryland, Ethel Davis, Eleanor B. Boyd, both of Warrenton, North Carolina and Frances Young of Newark, New Jersey; two sisters-in-law, Ernestine Simes Faulcon of Macon, North Carolina and Pearl Simes of Rocky Mount, North Carolina; two special cousins, Mary Gie Kearney and Carolyn W. Goode, both of Warrenton, North Carolina; special friends, Bishop Moore H. Bynum, Melvin Allen, Linwood Williams, William Hugh Tunstall, Robert Steverson and Mearmon Davis; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Mr. Davis will lie in repose on Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of R. H. Greene Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors and friends at the home, 990 No Bottom Road, Warrenton, North Carolina.
