Sandy Alston, Jr.

When we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be.  With loving hearts, R. H. Greene Funeral Home is offering comfort to the relatives and friends of Mr. Sandy Alston, Jr.,  age 89 of Warrenton, North Carolina.  Mr. Alston transitioned on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at his residence.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Fork Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in the Inez Community, Warrenton, North Carolina.  The Reverend Emery Jones, Pastor, will officiate and the Reverend Dr. Solomon Ray Patrick, Jr., will deliver the eulogy.  Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Everlasting memories will forever be cherished by:  five children, Dwight Alston (Vertis) of Henderson, North Carolina, Judy Dickerson and Virginia Alston, both of Warrenton, North Carolina, Samuel Alston, Jr. (Brenda) of Raleigh, North Carolina and Sylvester Alston (Cleo) of Willow Springs, North Carolina; one special grandson, Dwayne Alston along with seventeen grandchildren, twenty eight great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; one sister, Lula Mae Alston Williams of Warrenton, North Carolina; one son-in-law, David Marrow; eight sisters-in-law, Josephine Williams, Rosa Lee Williams, both of Warrenton, North Carolina, Sylvia Alston, Rosa A. Robinson and Catherine Williams all of East Orange, New Jersey, Selma Alston of Mitchellville, Maryland, Shirley Tuck (Curley) of Hinesville, Georgia and Cecile Johnson of Raleigh, North Carolina; seven brothers-in-law, Richard Alston and Tellie Young, both of Warrenton, North Carolina, Cecil Williams (Janet) of Clinton, Maryland, Melvin Robinson, Jr. (Theresa) and Alexander Robinson (Sheila), both of Henderson, North Carolina and Thurston Robinson (Charlotte) of Fayetteville, North Carolina; a host of loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Mr. Alston will lie in repose on Friday, April 17, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of R. H. Greene Funeral Home.

The family will receive visitors and friends at 118 Red Hill Loop Road, Warrenton, North Carolina.
