Greene Funeral Home is offering comfort to the loved ones of Mrs. Roxie A. Carter Burton, age 85 of 255 Read Road, Warrenton, North Carolina. Mrs. Burton transitioned on Friday, April 21, 2023 at her residence.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Warrenton, North Carolina. The Reverend Ebony Talley Brame will officiate and the Reverend Dr. Lamonte Williams, Pastor will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.
Everlasting memories will forever be cherished by: seven children, Ronald Burton (Rhunetta) of Sayreville, New Jersey, Kerment Burton (Vistell) of Staten Island, New York, Teresa Beverly (Harold) of Warrenton, North Carolina, William Burton of Tampa, Florida, Stephanie Grant of Queens, New York, Terrence Burton of Raleigh, North Carolina and Jerrell Burton of Warrenton, North Carolina; fifteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; one brother, Deacon James Carter of Norlina, North Carolina; two brothers-in-law, Allen Burton of Franklinton, North Carolina and Irving Burton of Queens, New York; three sisters-in-law, Brenda Burton of Brooklyn, New York, Faye Burton of New York, New York and Jean Burton of Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Mrs. Burton will lie in repose in R. H. Greene Funeral Home on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m.
