Robert "Bro" Boyd

With loving arms of compassion and understanding, R. H. Greene Funeral Home is offering comfort to the loved ones of Mr. Robert “Bro” Boyd age 82 of Newport News, Virginia, formerly of Warren County, North Carolina.  Mr. Boyd transitioned on Monday, January 18, 2021 at his residence.

A Graveside Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Coley Springs Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Warrenton, North Carolina.  The Reverend Carson F. Jones, Jr., Pastor will officiate.

He leaves to cherish his memories:  his daughters, Wanda Boyd Peacock (Joe), Doris Armstead (Carl) and Tammy Green Pope (James), all of Newport News, Virginia; two grandsons; three granddaughters; one great-grandson; four great-granddaughters; four sisters, Louise “Sis” Fields of Henderson, North Carolina, Bessie Solomon of Newport News, Virginia, Cora Johnson of Warrenton, North Carolina and Margaret Davis of East Orange, New Jersey; one sister-in-law, Jeanette “Crusty” Defour of Warrenton, North Carolina; a plethora of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Boyd will lie in repose in the chapel of R. H. Greene Funeral Home on Friday, January 22, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
