Robert Anthony "Ray" Crawley, Sr.

There's a land beyond the river, far beyond the clear blue skies, and there I'll reign with Him forever, in that home prepared for me, for my life will be sweeter bye and bye.  With sympathy and understanding, R. H. Greene Funeral Home is offering comfort to the loved ones of Mr. Robert Anthony Crawley, Sr., age 66 of the Hecks Grove Community in Warrenton, North Carolina.  Mr. Crawley transitioned on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 in Durham, North Carolina.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Greater New Hope Baptist Church in Oxford, North Carolina.  Elder Ayana Lewis will officiate, assisted by Pastor Spotswood Burwell, Elder George Crawley, Apostle Previs Foster and Pastor JoAnn Evans.  Interment will follow in the Jordan Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Warrenton, North Carolina.  

Memories will forever be cherished by:  two sons, Robert Anthony "Tony" Crawley, Jr. and Kaylom Royce Crawley, both of Henderson, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Kaylen, Kennedy and Kyren; two god-children, Lunday T. Watkins of Raleigh, North Carolina and Isaac Foster of Wake Forest, North Carolina; one sister, Jean Davis (John) of Charlotte, North Carolina; three brothers, Elder George Crawley (Evelyn) of Fayetteville, North Carolina, William Crawley (Rhonda) of Lusby, Maryland and Benjamin Crawley (Faye) of Colombia, South Carolina; a step-sister, Linda Crews of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; his step-mother-in-law, Ann S. Foster of Henderson, North Carolina; six sisters-in-law, Whilemina Judkins of Tampa, Florida, Karen Wright  of Henderson, North Carolina, NeTasha Foster and Brendetta Clark, both of Raleigh, North Carolina, Quanetta Clark of Little Washington, North Carolina and Destany Hawkins of Henderson, North Carolina; five brothers-in-law, Apostle Previs Foster of Wake Forest, North Carolina, Ron Judkins (Shena) of Youngsville, North Carolina, Brian Foster (Ondray) of Wake Forest, North Carolina, Sean Hargrove of Henderson, North Carolina, Dylan Hawkins of Raleigh, North Carolina; two aunts-in-law, Margaret Foster of Warrenton, North Carolina and Ida Judkins of Brooklyn, New York; two uncles-in-law, Pastor Douglas Judkins (Patricia) of Raleigh, North Carolina and McDonald Milon (Lucy) of Warrenton, North Carolina; a devoted friend, Brenda Jones of Durham, North Carolina; his childhood/best friend since birth, Raymond Anthony "Tony" Mitchell of Durham, North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Mr. Crawley will lie in repose in the chapel of R. H. Greene Funeral Home on Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m.

The family will receive visitors and friends at the home of Karen Wright, 448 Summit Road, Henderson, North Carolina.
