Swing Low, Sweet Chariot, coming for to carry me home.  R. H. Greene Funeral Home is offering comfort and compassion to the loved ones of Mr. Richard Alston, age 81 of 286 Greentown Avenue, Warrenton, North Carolina.  Mr. Alston transitioned on Monday, September 6, 2021 at the Warren Hills Nursing Center in Warrenton, North Carolina. 

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Shocco Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Warrenton, North Carolina.  Reverend Lennis Thorpe, Pastor will officiate.

Mr. Alston leaves to cherish his memories:  six step-children, Ronald Alston (Joann), Donald Alston, Joyce Alston, Roosevelt Alston, Jr., Gail Jones (Percell) and Clifton Alston, all of Warrenton, North Carolina; numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Virginia Preston, Elizabeth Richardson and Myre Sidberry (Jimmy) all of Warrenton, North Carolina; three brothers-in-law, Nathaniel Moore (Melville), Leonard T. Williams (Johnsie) and James Davis all of Warrenton, North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Mr. Alston will lie in repose in the chapel of R. H. Greene Funeral Home on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 1:00 until 7:00 p.m.
