Richard Douglas Alexander

What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear, what a privilege it is to carry, everything to God in prayer.   Mr. Richard Douglas "Doug" Alexander age 75 of Union, New Jersey formerly of Wise, North Carolina peacefully departed this life on Saturday, April 4, 2020 in Newark, New Jersey.

Graveside Services will be conducted on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Locust Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Wise, North Carolina with the Reverend Kenneth Alexander, officiating.

Memories of Doug will forever be cherished by:  two sisters, Evelyn Bullock (George) of Wise, North Carolina and Hattie Allen Crawford of Union, New Jersey; three brothers, Walter Alexander, Rufus Alexander (Gloria) and Reverend Kenneth Alexander (Cynthia) all of Durham, North Carolina; two aunts, Dr. Esther A. Terry of Wise, North Carolina and Hattie Mozell Alexander of East Elmhurst, New York; a circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Alexander will be on view in the chapel of R. H. Greene Funeral Home on Friday, April 10, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
