With genuine sympathy, R. H. Greene Funeral Home stands hand in hand with the relatives of Mr. Raymond "Borsie" Carter, age 78 of Warren County, North Carolina. Mr. Carter transitioned on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at the Duke Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Monday, August 3, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of R. H. Greene Funeral Home. The Reverend Nolan R. Davis will officiate and interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Macon, North Carolina.
Those left to cherish his memories are: his wife, Della Williams Carter of Bronx, New York; one daughter, Cynthia Carter Burks (Greg) of Poughkeepsie, New York; one son, Randy Carter of Lakeland, Florida; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Helen Spruill of Manson, North Carolina, Geraldine Kearney (James) of Warrenton, North Carolina and Shirley Carter of Norlina, North Carolina; two brothers, Theodore Carter of Warrenton, North Carolina and William Carter of Norlina, North Carolina; five sisters-in-law, Evelyn Williams of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Maxine Robinson of West Virginia, Rose Stewart and Pastor Liz Shuler, both of Manhattan, New York and Josephine Hyman (John) of Bronx, New York; three brothers-in-law, Joseph Williams, John Williams (Mae) and Larry Williams (Irma), all of Bronx, New York; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Raymond and Indie Williams Carter and his loving mother-in-law, Mrs. Lizzie Williams.
Mr. Carter will lie in repose in the chapel of R. H. Greene Funeral Home on Sunday, August 2, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
The family will receive visitors at the home of Mrs. Mary Helen Spruill, 585 Mt. Pleasant Church Road, Manson, North Carolina.
