There will be peace in the valley for me one day, no sadness or sorrow, but there will be peace in the valley for me. R. H. Greene Funeral Home is offering comfort to the loved ones of Mr. Michael Donnell Holden, age 58 of Henderson, North Carolina. Mr. Holden transitioned on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at the Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson, North Carolina.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of R. H. Greene Funeral Home, with the Reverend Jimmie Hayes, officiating.
Everlasting memories will forever be cherished by: his wife, Regina P. Holden of the home; two children, Dimitryce Holden (Quill) of Warrenton, North Carolina and TaKeisha Blacknall (Tyrone) of Louisburg, North Carolina; seven grandchildren; eleven sisters, Hattie Crudup (Bernice) of Louisburg, North Carolina, Esteen Harris (Earl) of Warrenton, North Carolina, Annette H. Alston (McDonald) of Kittrell, North Carolina, Hilda Southerland of Warrenton, North Carolina, Shirley Holden, Gwendolyn Holden and Cheryl Holden, all of Louisburg, North Carolina, Brenda Jones (Leroy) of Warrenton, North Carolina, Teresa Closs (Eugene) of Louisburg, North Carolina, Shamika Hargrove and Tymica Hargrove, both of Warrenton, North Carolina; two brothers, Matthew Thomas Holden of Louisburg, North Carolina and Robert Southerland of Warrenton, North Carolina; two sisters-in-law, Brenda Gupton of Louisburg, North Carolina and Shariah Crossin of Henderson, North Carolina; three uncles, Clifton Southerland of Warrenton, North Carolina, Joseph Holden of Raleigh, North Carolina and Willie "Pete" Southerland of Louisburg, North Carolina; four aunts, Jennie Holden and Ruth Holden, both of Louisburg, North Carolina, Mavis Bradley (Richard) and Diane Southerland, both of Warrenton, North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive visitors and friends at the home, located at 435 Summit Road, Henderson, North Carolina.
