Mattie Marie "Ree" Davis

Some glad morning when this life is over, I'll Fly Away, to a home on God's celestial shore.  With compassion, R. H. Greene Funeral Home is offering care to the relatives of Ms. Mattie Marie "Ree" Davis age 77 of Norlina, North Carolina.  Ms. Davis transitioned on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at the Warren Hills Nursing Center in Warrenton, North Carolina.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church in Norlina, North Carolina.  The Reverend Malvin Hargrove will officiate and interment will follow in the First Baptist Church Memorial Gardens.

Everlasting memories will forever be cherished by:  three sisters, Ruby D. Williams of Decatur, Georgia, Carol Johnson and Kay Crosson, both of Norlina, North Carolina; two brothers, John E. Davis (Ava) of Warrenton, North Carolina and Thomas M. Davis of Goldsboro, North Carolina; one sister-in-law, Towanda Crosson of Norlina, North Carolina; four nephews, Shermain (Tara), Domonic, Lance and Charlton; three nieces, Nakia, Shannon and Nastashia (Anthony); four great nephews, Josiah, Lance II., Shermain Jr. and Bryce; two great nieces, Taylor and Randiece; three special double first cousins, Leonard Sledge and William Sledge, both of Bowie, Maryland and Carolyn S. Boyd of Warrenton, North Carolina; her best friend, Scarlet Harrington of Warrenton, North Carolina; a host of cousins, relatives and friends.

Ms. Davis will lie in repose on Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m. at  R. H. Greene Funeral Home.

The family will receive visitors and friends at the home of Carol Johnson, 105 West Street, Norlina, North Carolina.
