Mary Emma (Alston) Marshall

During this moment of mixed emotions, R. H. Greene Funeral Home is offering comfort and compassion to the loved ones of Mrs. Mary Emma Alston Marshall, age 75 formerly of the Inez Community who transitioned on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the Hock Family Pavilion in Durham, North Carolina.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary of Upper Room Church of God in Christ in Raleigh, North Carolina.  Bishop Patrick L. Wooden, Sr., Pastor will officiate and interment will follow in the Fork Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in the Inez Community.

She leaves to cherish her memories:  her husband, Willie Marshall; four children, Ethelene Watson (Jose), Cassandra Marshall (Freddy), Molissa Marshall and Jason Marshall; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Barbara Marshall; two brothers-in-law, Leonard Marshall and Jimmy Marshall; a childhood and lifetime friend, Lula Alston; a plethora of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.

Mrs. Marshall will lie in repose in the chapel of R. H. Greene Funeral Home on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

The family will receive visitors and friends at the home of Mr. James Marshall, 5005 Tyne Drive, Durham, North Carolina.
