What a solemn day it is to announce that God’s role model of a woman, Mrs. Mary Jordan Goode, age 91 of 1169 Ridgeway-Warrenton Road, Norlina, North Carolina stood on the banks of Jordan, Friday, December 18, 2020 at her residence and boarded the ship of Zion.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 12:00 noon in the Ridgeway Baptist Church Cemetery, US Highway 1 in Ridgeway, North Carolina.  The Reverend Willie T. Ramey, III., pastor will officiate.

Memories will forever be cherished by:  three children, James Bernard Goode (Carolyn) of Warrenton, North Carolina, Doris Goode Hymon (Donald) of Essex, Maryland and Gwendolyn Goode-Wright (Brownell) of Henderson, North Carolina; fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Rhonda Goode of Warrenton, North Carolina; one brother-in-law, Ervin Goode (Zelma) of Charlotte, North Carolina; a devoted caregiver, Mattie Tunstall Boyd of Warrenton, North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mrs. Goode will lie in repose in the chapel of R. H. Greene Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
