Marques Valntae "Squirt" Johnson

Farther along, we'll know all about it, we'll understand it all bye and bye.  With compassion, R. H. Greene Funeral Home is standing with the relatives of Mr. Marques Valntae "Squirt" Johnson, age 40 of Durham, North Carolina.  Mr. Johnson, a native of Warren County transitioned on Saturday, February 1, 2025 in Durham, North Carolina.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the Warren County Middle School Gymnasium.  Elder Shondra D. Jordan will officiate.  A Balloon release will follow the service on the grounds of the Middle School, followed by moments with the family in the Warren County School Cafeteria.

Everlasting memories will forever be cherished by:  his two children, Elijiah "EJ" Johnson and Amya Johnson; his mother, Marshell Deneice Varner of Wise, North Carolina; two brothers, Dyshawn Varner of Irvington, New Jersey, and Victor Johnson, Jr. of West Virginia; one sister, De-Kisha Hendrick of Wise, North Carolina; one "honorary" sister, Alasia Hendrick; his godmother, Rosemary Dennis of Los Angeles, California; three "honorary" godparents: Roberto "Red" Castro, Chemene "Shake" Nelson, and Renee Garrison ; three close friends, Harold Jackson, Kevin "DJ Swirly" Williams, and "JB;" a special mentor and High School Band Director, Dr. Taylor Whitehead; his band family from both Warren County High School and North Carolina Central University; co-workers from Ted's Montana Grill; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family request that attendees wear maroon and gray.
