Mrs. Palmer transitioned on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson, North Carolina.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 12:00 noon in the sanctuary of Cooks Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Warrenton, North Carolina. The Reverend Dr. Tony W. Cozart, Pastor will officiate and interment will follow in the Cooks Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in the Warren Plains Community.
Memories will forever be cherished by: five children, Pastor Curtis O. Palmer (Connie) of Macon, North Carolina, Vivian S. Townes (Melvin) of Norlina, North Carolina, Robert C. Palmer (Gwen) of Georgia, Elain P. McQueen of Youngsville, North Carolina and Edmund G. Palmer (Michelle) of Norlina, North Carolina; eleven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Jones of Clayton, North Carolina, Alice Hendricks and Ella Hargrove (Anthony), both of Warrenton, North Carolina; four sisters-in-law, Alberta Palmer of Paterson, New Jersey, Alice Hargrove of Warrenton, North Carolina, Brenda Hargrove of Baltimore, Maryland and Rose M. Hargrove of Washington, D.C.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Mrs. Palmer will lie in repose on Friday, February 3, 2023 from 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m. at R. H. Greene Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors and friends at the home of Pastor Curtis O. Palmer, 129 Fleming Mill Road in Macon, North Carolina.
