Lewis Davis, III.

Now when I met my savior, I met him with a smile; he healed my wounded spirit and owned me as his child, for I am on the battlefield for my Lord.  With care and gratitude, R. H. Greene Funeral Home is standing with the relatives of Mr. Lewis Davis, III, age 69 of Durham, North Carolina formerly of Warren County, North Carolina.  Mr. Davis transitioned on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at Parkview Health and Rehab Center in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.  in the sanctuary of St. Zion Baptist Church in the Liberia Community, Warrenton, North Carolina.  The Reverend Jordan Wilkins, Pastor will officiate and Reverend Doris J. Jones will deliver the eulogy.

He leaves to cherish his wonderful memories:  two sons, Eric Tyrone Davis (Stephanie) of Garner, North Carolina and Jamal Jamel Davis of Calhoun, Georgia; two daughters, Mikki DeAona Davis-Lyon (Carlos) of Durham, North Carolina and  Angelica Mills of Durham, North Carolina; eleven grandchildren, Erica Davis, Tyrone Davis, Simone Davis, Naeem Jones, Tyreek Jones, Royale Crews, X'Andria Reed, Kahan Miller, Zaryiah Miller, Omariah Miller and Jade Miller;  nine great grandchildren; three loved brothers, Horace “Pete” Davis of Dover, New Jersey, Thomas Nelson Davis of Louisburg, North Carolina and Lepoleon Davis of Ne York; five devoted nieces, Nekiesha Blair of Dover New Jersey, Nikema Jones, Regina Jones, Olivia Braxton all of Warrenton, North Carolina and Priscilla Darden of Durham, North Carolina; two beloved nephews, Tavis Dunston and Pierre Macklin; a host of great nieces & nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
