Laura Esther Hymon Hayes

Some call it Heaven, I call it home, some call it dreaming, just let them dream on.  Some call it Paradise, somewhere beyond the skies, some call it Heaven, but I call it home.  R. H. Greene Funeral Home is offering comfort and compassion to the loved ones of Mrs. Laura Esther Hymon Hayes, age 88 of Warrenton, North Carolina.  Mrs. Hayes transitioned on Monday, December 18, 2023 at the Warren Hills Nursing Center in Warrenton, North Carolina.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary of Coley Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Warrenton, North Carolina.  The Reverend Carson F. Jones, Jr., Pastor will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Everlasting memories will forever be cherished by:  five children, Steve Hymon (Clementine) of Norlina, North Carolina, Samuel Louis Hayes and James K. Hayes (Lisa), both of Warrenton, North Carolina, Jeffrey C. Hayes (Renardo) of Henderson, North Carolina and Corey Hayes (Wanda) of Vaughan, North Carolina; two grandchildren raised as her own, Vernon Hayes of Charlotte, North Carolina and Tammy Terrell Jones (Eric) of Winston-Salem, North Carolina along with eight grandchildren, Diandra, Olivia, Jason, Joshua, Isaiah, Angel, Nyla and Cameron; several great grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Faye Alston of Irvington, New Jersey; one brother-in-law, Jesse Hayes of Newark, New Jersey; one sister-in-law, Emma Hayes of Warrenton, North Carolina; two special cousins, Rosa Mae Williams of Camden, New Jersey and Pattie Mae Royster Jones of Warrenton, North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.

Mrs. Hayes will lie in repose in the chapel of R. H. Greene Funeral Home on Friday, December 22, 2023 from 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m.

The family will receive visitors and friends at the home of James and Lisa Hayes, 509 W. Ridgeway Street, Warrenton, North Carolina.
