Joyce Loretta Bullock

What a solemn day it is to announce that God’s role model of a woman has crossed the swelling tide.  Ms. Joyce Loretta Bullock, age 60 of the Largo Community, Norlina, North Carolina stood on the banks of Jordan, Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Wake Medical Center and boarded the ship of Zion. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of the Coley Springs Missionary Baptist Church in the Afton Community, Warrenton, North Carolina.  Pastor Carson F. Jones, Jr., will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery.

She is survived by:  four brothers, John Clifton Bullock (Viola), Melvin Thomas Bullock, Reverend Dr. Calvin Coolidge Bullock (Barbara) and Ronald Wayne Bullock; one god-son, Larry M. Jones, Jr.; two aunts, Katherine B. Williams and Cora Lee Hymon Simes; one uncle, Joseph Bullock; four cousins raised in the home, Celestine Woods, Robert Macklin (Deborah), William Macklin (Joyce) and Joseph Macklin; six god-sisters, Ollie H. Burton, Reverend Bertie Watson (Jack), Patricia H. Barnes (Melvin), Hannah H. Bullock (Odell), Carolyn H. Jones and Dr. Shirley Hymon-Parker (Gene); nine nieces and nephews; eighteen great nieces and nephews; one great-great nephew; three great-great nieces; a close cousin, Ada S. Davis; a lifelong friend, Bettie Ann Royster; a circle of co-workers, church family and loving friends.

The body will lie in repose on Monday, February 3, 2020 from 12:00 noon until 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of R. H. Greene Funeral Home and on Tuesday in the church one hour prior to the service

The family will receive visitors and friends at the home located at 519 Largo Road, Norlina, North Carolina.
