John Henry Simes

Greene Funeral Home is offering comfort to the loved ones of Mr. John Henry Simes, age 44 of Chapel Hill, North Carolina.  Mr. Simes, native of Warren County, North Carolina transitioned on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 in Warren County.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. in the sanctuary of Greenwood Baptist Church in Warrenton, North Carolina.  The Reverend Craig A. Hymon will officiate and interment will follow in the Coley Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Warrenton, North Carolina.

Everlasting memories will forever be cherished by:  two children, Gerard Hymon of Warrenton, North Carolina and Arya Simes of Tarboro, North Carolina; his step-father, Herman Hargrove of Warrenton, North Carolina; two brothers, Bryant Hargrove of Warrenton, North Carolina and Kyle Hargrove (Kendra) of Rocky Mount, North Carolina; a special adopted mother, Viola W. Bullock of Raleigh, North Carolina; six aunts, Mamie Kearney and Bertha Massenburg, both of Paterson, New Jersey, Mary Agnes Harrison, Connie Simes, Carletta Simes and Gloria Newell all of Warrenton, North Carolina; three uncles, Johnnie Simes (Shirley) and Horace Simes, both of Warrenton, North Carolina and Marvin Townes of Washington, D.C.; two nephews and three nieces; a special cousin/sister, Sharon Hymon of Warrenton, North Carolina; a host of cousins, classmates, relatives and friends.

Mr. Simes will lie in repose in R. H. Greene Funeral Home on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

The family will receive visitors and friends at 237 Sulphur Springs Road, Warrenton, North Carolina.
