James Allen "Jim" Baskett

During this moment of mixed emotions, R. H. Greene Funeral Home is offering care and comfort to the loved ones of Mr. James “Jim” Baskett, age 68 of 35 Jones Towne Lane, Warrenton, North Carolina.  Mr. Baskett transitioned on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at the Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson, North Carolina.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. on the grounds of Mitchell Missionary Baptist Church in Louisburg, North Carolina.  The Reverend Thelma McClean will officiate and Reverend Carson F. Jones, Jr., will deliver the eulogy.

Everlasting memories will forever be cherished by:  his daughter, Tonya A. Daniels of Raleigh, North Carolina; one grandson, Jeray T. Alston; one granddaughter, Danyelle Daniels and one great grandson, Karter Zion Daniels; his brother, Christopher "Cooney" Baskett, Jr. of Warrenton, North Carolina; his sisters, Yvonne Davis (Loyd) of Norlina, North Carolina, Jackie Baskett, Ruby Elam (Alvin), Laura Hargrove (Allen) and Lucy Baskett, all of Warrenton, North Carolina; one sister-in-law, Hazel A. Baskett of Middleburg, North Carolina; one uncle, Joseph Jones, Jr. of Quebec, Canada; three aunts, Bertie Jones, Velma Jones and Mary Baskett, all of Washington, D.C.; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, other family members and friends.

Mr. Baskett will lie in repose in the chapel of R. H. Greene Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 from 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m.

The family will receive visitors and friends at the home of Jackie Baskett, 35 Jones Towne Lane in Warrenton, North Carolina.
