Horace Simes

With care and compassion, R. H. Greene Funeral Home is standing with the relatives of Mr. Horace Simes, age 66 of Warrenton, North Carolina.  Mr. Simes transitioned on Sunday, June 15, 2025 at the Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson, North Carolina.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the Warrenton Fire Station Multi Purpose Room in Warrenton, North Carolina.  Elder Rocquon Perry will officiate and interment will follow in the Coley Springs Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Warrenton, North Carolina.

Everlasting memories will forever be cherished by:  one son, Mario L. Simes (Brittany) of Henderson, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Jade Simes of Durham, North Carolina and Malik Simes of Warrenton, North Carolina; four sisters, Mamie “Bunk” Kearney and Bertha Massenburg, both of Paterson, New Jersey, Connie Simes and Carletta Simes, both of Warrenton, North Carolina; two brothers, Johnny Simes (Shirley) of Warrenton, North Carolina and Marvin Townes of Washington, D.C.; one brother-in-law, Jasper Southerland of Norlina, North Carolina; a special friend, Alonzo Richardson; the love of his life, Annette Harris of Warrenton, North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Mr. Simes will lie in repose on Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at R. H. Greene Funeral Home.

The family will receive visitors and friends at the home, 237 Sulphur Springs Road, Warrenton, North Carolina.
