With heavy hearts and solemn emotions the loved ones of Mr. Hillard “Head” Bullock of Fredericksburg, Virginia formerly of Manson, North Carolina are preparing to say so long to a link in their family chain. Mr. Bullock departed this life on Friday, January 31, 2020 at this residence.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Oak Level United Church of Christ in Manson, North Carolina. The Reverend John E. Jefferson will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by: his lifelong companion of 33 years, Patricia Saffoury of the home; one daughter, Lauren Saffoury of the home; two sons, Eugene Parker and Bryan Parker both of Fredericksburg, Virginia; two granddaughters; four sisters, Marion Williams (Tony) of Stanford, Virginia, Annie Bullock (Robert) of Warrenton, North Carolina, Linda Watkins (Richard) and Letitia Henderson, both of Manson, North Carolina; two brothers, Ervin Bullock of Manson, North Carolina and Milton Bullock (Sandra) of Greensboro, North Carolina; three aunts, Shirley Jefferson (John) of Manson, North Carolina, Lucy Durham of New Jersey and Martha Hargrove of Warrenton, North Carolina; one uncle, Clyde Bullock (Flo) of Richmond, Virginia; one great-aunt, Aretha Ball of Manson, North Carolina; one sister-in-law, Dianna Casimiro (Al) of Fredericksburg, Virginia; four nieces; two nephews; three great nephews; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
The body will lie in repose on Friday, February 7, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of R. H. Greene Funeral Home and on Saturday at the church one hour prior to the service.
The family will receive friends at the home of Letitia Henderson, located at 657 Burchette Road in Manson, North Carolina.
