Gertrude Davis Butler

When we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be.  With care and compassion, R. H. Greene Funeral Home is offering comfort to the loved ones of Mrs. Gertrude Davis Butler, age 91 of Warrenton, North Carolina.  Mrs. Butler transitioned on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at the Universal Healthcare Center in Oxford, North Carolina.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 12:00 noon in the sanctuary of Shocco Chapel Baptist Church in the Parktown Community, Warrenton, North Carolina.  The Reverend Lennis Thorpe, Sr., Pastor will officiate.  

She leaves to cherish her precious memory, her children: Lawrence Butler (Karen) of Murrieta, California, and Diane Butler of Washington, D.C.; Grandchildren: Tameka Dishman of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Demar Butler of Long Beach, California, and Darius Butler of Torrance, California; Great-granddaughters: Kamayia Henry and Kayla Henry; One sister: Meredith Davis (Earnest)of Warrenton, North Carolina; One brother: James Davis of Warrenton, North Carolina; Nephew: Henry Davis Jr. of District Heights, Maryland along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will miss her dearly.

Mrs. Butler will lie in repose at R. H. Greene Funeral Home on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m.  The family will have an informal greeting of friends and visitors from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home, other times, they will receive friends at 481 Warren Street, Warrenton, North Carolina.

Interment will take place on Monday, February 27, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Quantico National Cemetery in Quantico, Virginia.
