Obituary
Blessed Savior, thou wilt guide us, till we reach the blissful shore, where the angels wait to join us, in thy praise forevermore. With compassion and service, R. H. Greene Funeral Home is offering comfort to the loved ones of Mr. George Richard Kearney, Jr., "Roy, Jr", age 74 of 217 Church Street, Warrenton, North Carolina. Mr. Kearney transitioned on Monday, June 5, 2023 at his residence.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, June 10, 2023 starting with Visitation at 12:00 noon, followed by service at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Spring Green Missionary Baptist Church in Warrenton, North Carolina. The Reverend Artie Odom will officiate and Reverend Cathy Alston-Kearney will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Everlasting memories will forever be cherished by: his beloved wife Cathy Alston-Kearney, their children: Dyron Kearney, Charlotte, North Carolina; Jovon Kearney, LaGrange, North Carolina; Helen Shareka Bradby, Warrenton, North Carolina; Elisa Lawrence, Charlotte, North Carolina; and Martin Lawrence (Cherrelle), Louisburg, North Carolina; three sisters: Rochon Kearney, Durham, North Carolina; Wanda Creecy, Greensboro, North Carolina; Shennia Kearney, Durham, North Carolina, and one brother: Byron Kearney (Joyce), Greensboro, North Carolina; three grandchildren: Nigel Williams (Kedeja), Charlotte, North Carolina; Noah Mitnaul, McLeansville, North Carolina; Justin Ramey, II, Charlotte, North Carolina; three aunts: Nan Moore, Cherry Hill, New Jersey; Ruth Kearney, Voorhees, New Jersey; and Jean Kearney, Williamsburg, Virginia; two nieces: Danielle Kearney, Okemos, Michigan and Lauren Creecy, Winston-Salem, North Carolina; one nephew: Brandon Kearney (Natasha), Detroit, Michigan and one great niece, Layne.
George will also be missed by a host of cousins, customers, family and friends.
Mr. Kearney will lie in repose on Friday, June 9, 2023 from 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of R. H. Greene Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors at the home, 217 Church Street, Warrenton, North Carolina.
