Fannie Catherine "Doll" Allen Obituary

In that sweet bye and bye, we’ll meet each other, it’s sweet, just to know that one day we will meet.  With care and compassion, R. H. Greene Funeral Home is offering comfort to the loved ones of Mrs. Fannie Catherine “Doll” Allen age 83 of Manson, North Carolina.  Mrs. Allen transitioned on Friday, January 27, 2023 at her residence.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Ridgeway Missionary Baptist Church in Norlina, North Carolina.  The Reverend Dr. Willie T. Ramey, III., Pastor and the Reverend Nicole Jones Ramey will deliver the eulogy.  Interment will follow in the Basket, Hall and Allen Family Cemetery on US Highway 1 in Manson, North Carolina.

Everlasting memories will forever be cherished by:  her husband, Alvin Allen, Jr. of the home; one Son, Michael Alvis Allen of Ridgeway, North Carolina; one Daughter, Barbara Melinda Crump (Peddro) of Clinton, Maryland; five Grandsons, Reshard Williams (Caroline) of Newport News, Virginia, Alvis Jamelle Allen of Brooklyn, New York, Kaylon Allen of Austin, Texas, Cameron Crump and Evan Crump, both of Clinton, Maryland; four Great-grandchildren, Aiyana Allen, Jayla Allen, Micah Williams, and Kemira Williams; three loving Sisters, Freda Champion of Richmond, Virginia, Shirley Mae Jones (John) and Erma Louise Alexander, both of Ridgeway, North Carolina; one brother, Sylvester Bernice Hall (Charlene) of Henderson, North Carolina; one Brother-in-law, Odell Allen (Carolyn) of Wilmington, North Carolina; two Sisters-in-law, Eunice Beatty of Castle Hayne, North Carolina and Earline Wilson of Warrenton, North Carolina; Goddaughter and Special niece, Shukita Daniels of Greenville, North Carolina; Special Niece, Nicole “Nick-a-Boo” Jones Ramey of Norlina, North Carolina; one Bonus Daughter,  Stephanie Edwards Williams  of Riverdale, Maryland; two Bonus Grandchildren, Trent Williams of College Park, Maryland and Kennedy Williams of Towson, Maryland; a Caregiver who assisted over the years, Carolyn Long and her current Caregiver, Elizabeth “Bae Bae” Clark; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Allen will lie in repose on Friday, February 3, 2023 from 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m. at R. H. Greene Funeral Home.

The family will receive visitors and friends at the home located at 511 Collins Road, Norlina, North Carolina.
