Dorcy "Patchy" Talley

Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior, hear my humble cry. R. H. Greene Funeral Home is offering service and care to the loved ones of Mr. Dorcy "Patchy" Talley, age 84 of Brooklyn, Maryland, formerly of the Oakville Community, Macon, North Carolina.  Mr. Talley transitioned on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at the MedStar Harbor Hospital in Brooklyn, Maryland.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 12:00 noon at the North Warren High School Cafeteria in the Wise Community, Warrenton, North Carolina.  The Reverend Charles Faulcon will officiate and interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Macon, North Carolina.

Left to cherish his memories are:  the mother of his children, Queen E. Talley of Littleton, North Carolina; one daughter, Gloria Talley of Brooklyn, Maryland; one son, James Talley of Brooklyn, Maryland; five grandsons, David Talley, Julian Talley, Dorcy K. Talley Jr, Dennis Mosley and James Talley Jr; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth Jones of Baltimore, Maryland, Irene Hunter of Suitland, Maryland and Roberta Gill (John) of the Bronx, New York; three brothers, Darnell Talley (Dianne) of Washington, D.C., Douglas Hunter of Suitland, Maryland and Curtis Hunter (Dorinda) of La Plata, Maryland; sisters-in-law, Liz Robinson, Mary Smith, Daisy Hendricks all of Baltimore, Maryland and Jessie H. Cooper of Boydton, Virginia; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, family and friends whom he loved dearly.

Mr. Talley will lie in repose on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m. at R. H. Greene Funeral Home.

The family will receive visitors and friends at the home of Jessie H. Cooper, 1656 US Highway 1, Boydton, Virginia.
