Greene Funeral Home is offering care and comfort to the loved ones of Mr. Donnie Lee Boyd, age 82 of Macon, North Carolina.  Mr. Boyd transitioned on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at his residence.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Macon, North Carolina.  Reverend Malvin Hargrove, Pastor will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Everlasting memories will forever be cherished by:  his wife, Veronica Davis Boyd of the home; three daughters, Shelia Davis Wilson (Jerome) of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Mary Boyd Hardy (Frank) of Portsmouth, Virginia and Cessel J. Boyd of Macon, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Julian R. Hopewell, Nya F. Hardy, Jayla S. Hardy and Jemika Hardy; one sister, Ann Boyd Greene (Richard) of Macon, North Carolina; two brothers, Stephen Boyd (Mae) of Frederick, Maryland and James Boyd (Jessie) of Wake Forest, North Carolina; four sisters-in-law, Maxine Boyd of Laurinburg, North Carolina, Dorothy Boyd of Asheville, North Carolina, Mattie Boyd of Warrenton, North Carolina and Constance Robinson of Bronx, New York; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Mr. Boyd will lie in repose on Friday, October 11, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 at R. H. Greene Funeral Home.

The family will receive visitors and friends at the home, located at 831 Macon-Embro Road, Macon, North Carolina.
