Debra Jean Townes

Greene Funeral Home is offering comfort to the loved ones and friends of Ms. Debra Jean Townes, age 70 of Warrenton, North Carolina.  Ms. Townes transitioned on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of R. H. Greene Funeral Home.  The Reverend William Harrison will officiate and interment will follow in the Coley Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Warrenton, North Carolina.

Everlasting memories will forever be cherished by:  one brother, Peter Q. Allen of Warrenton, North Carolina; one sister, Belinda Mercedes of Albany, New York; six nieces and nephews; sixteen great-nieces and great nephews; six aunts, Emma Townes of Brooklyn, New York, Leslie Hyman, Mary Distance, Vivian Montgomery, Phyllis Finch and Aleice Hargrove all of Baltimore, Maryland; one uncle, James Finch, Jr., of Baltimore, Maryland; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Ms. Townes will lie in repose on Friday, January 23, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at R. H. Greene Funeral Home.
