Deacon William Roscoe "Rocky" Banks

Some glad morning when this life is over, I'll Fly Away.  With tender sympathy, R. H. Greene Funeral Home is offering comfort to the loved ones of Deacon William Roscoe "Rocky" Banks, age 90 of Macon, North Carolina.  Deacon Banks transitioned on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at the Senior Citizens Nursing Center in Henderson, North Carolina.  

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Universal Mission Apostolic Church in Warrenton, North Carolina.  Evangelist Loretta Pettaway will officiate and Pastor Carlton J. Terry, III., will deliver the eulogy.  Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Baptist Church in Macon, North Carolina.

Everlasting memories will forever be cherished by: his six children: William R. Banks Jr. (Edith), James Banks, Debora Banks, John Banks (Marilyn), Gregory Banks (Karen), Dexter Banks, a special grandchild, Arketa Banks (Latora), 15 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Frances Worthy; three brothers-in-law, Eugene Taylor, John Taylor and Lorry Taylor;  a host of  nieces, nephews, godchildren, beloved caregiver, Mildred Perry and extended family. 

Deacon Banks will lie in repose on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of R. H. Greene Funeral Home.

The family will receive visitors and friends at the home located at 1361 Church Hill Road, Macon, North Carolina, 27551.

In honor of Deacon Banks, the family requests that attendees wear blue.
