Deacon James Henry "Jack" Watson, age 73 of Nashville, North Carolina formerly of the Perrytown Community, Warrenton, North Carolina transitioned on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at his residence.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary of Union Hill Baptist Church in Nashville, North Carolina. The Reverend Sidney E. Dunston, Pastor will officiate and interment with Military Honors will be in the Snow Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Warrenton, North Carolina.
Everlasting memories will remain etched in the hearts of: his devoted wife of fifty-one years, Reverend Bertie D. Hymon-Watson of the home; three loving children, Gregory L. Watson (Yuri) of Houston, Texas, Rodney A. Watson (Imin) and Jacquitta R. Watson, both of Charlotte, North Carolina; eight adorable grandchildren, Ana Marie, Greg Jr., Noah, Savannah, McKenzie, Sequoyah, Armid and Lheian; three special siblings, Vivian Lindsay (Taswell) of Charlotte, North Carolina, Diane Moody (Freddie) of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina and Kenneth Watson of Warrenton, North Carolina; one goddaughter, Judy Segbefia of Cincinnati, Ohio; six sisters-in-love, Ollie H., Burton of Severn, Maryland, Patricia H. Barnes (Melvin) of Nashville, North Carolina, Hannah H. Bullock (Odell) and Carolyn H. Jones, both of Warrenton, North Carolina, Dr. Shirley Hymon-Parker (Gene) of Greensboro, North Carolina and Doris G. Hymon of Baltimore, Maryland; two special life-long friends, Phil Downey (Marie) of Richmond, Virginia and Mike McCoy of Colombia, Maryland; a plethora of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, church family, classmates and friends.
Deacon Watson will lie in repose on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Union Hill Baptist Church in Nashville, North Carolina.
The family will receive visitors and friends at the home of Reverend Bertie Hymon Watson, 1686 Barnes Hill Church Road, Nashville, North Carolina
Services entrusted to William Toney's Funeral Home in Spring Hope, North Carolina.
