Deacon Edgar Lewis Williams

With solemn thoughts and tender hearts of love, R. H. Greene Funeral Home is offering comfort to the loved ones of Deacon Edgar Lewis Williams, age 76 of 148 Hayes Drive in Warrenton, North Carolina.  Mr. Williams transitioned on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at his residence.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. on the grounds of the Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Henderson, North Carolina.  The Reverend Stephon Goode, Pastor will officiate and The Reverend Timothy Mitchell will deliver the eulogy.  Interment will follow in the Shocco Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Warrenton, North Carolina.

Those left to cherish his memories are:  six daughters, Cheryl Williams of Henderson, North Carolina, Betty Williams of Brooklyn, New York, Evelyn Williams of Warrenton, North Carolina, Madora Williams of New York, New York, Gwendolyn Williams of Henderson, North Carolina and LaKeisha Williams-Harrison (Fernando) of Warrenton, North Carolina; a god-daughter, Annie Townes; fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Nicholas Williams of Franklin County, North Carolina and Reverend Lawrence Williams (Pamela) of Warrenton, North Carolina; three sisters, Barbara (Leon) Mitchell of Cambria Heights Queen, New York, Emily (Jesse) Manley of Plainfield, New Jersey and Jessie Bullock of Henderson, North Carolina; two aunts, Susie Williams of Raleigh, North Carolina and Josephine Williams of Baltimore, Maryland; a special friend, Cynthia Perry of Warrenton, North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Williams will lie in repose on Friday, March 12, 2021 from 12:00 noon until 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of R. H. Greene Funeral Home.

The family will receive visitors and friends at the home located at 148 Hayes Drive, Warrenton, North Carolina.
