Deacon Charlie Wade "CW" Davis

Blessed Assurance, Jesus is mine.  This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior all the day long.  With hearts of compassion, R. H. Greene Funeral Home is standing with the relatives of Deacon Charlie W. "CW" Davis, age 89 of the Wise Community.  Deacon Davis transitioned on Monday, January 12, 2026 at the Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson, North Carolina.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Roanoke Chapel United Church of Christ in Boydton, Virginia.  The Reverend Curits McCrae, Pastor will officiate.

Everlasting memories will forever be cherished by:  four daughters, Nicole Davis (Tim Jefferson) of Norlina, North Carolina, Kathy Hazel (Warren) of Charlotte, North Carolina, Karen Davis and Naya Davis, both of Washington, D.C.; two step children, Ritchie Green and Clarence Bender, both of Wise, North Carolina; one granddaughter raised as his own, Adrienne Wilson (Wade) of Hollister, North Carolina along with nine grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; one sister, Lottie Terry (James) of Henderson, North Carolina;  five sisters-in-law, Beatrice Hargrove of Wise, North Carolina, Rosetta Hargrove and Gloria Hargrove, both of Brooklyn, New York, Alice Hargrove of Hamburg, New Jersey and Brenda Hargrove of Baltimore, Maryland; three brothers-in-law, Clifton Hargrove (Emma) of Spring Texas, Rudolph Hargrove of Wise, North Carolina and Wayne Hargrove of Nassau, New York; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Deacon Davis will lie in repose on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of R. H. Greene Funeral Home.

The family will receive visitors and friends at the home of Nicole Davis, 312 Axtell-Ridgeway Road, Norlina, North Carolina.
