Coseye Hawkins

During this moment of mixed emotions, R. H. Greene Funeral Home is offering comfort and compassion to the loved ones of Ms. Coseye Hawkins, age 79 of Norlina, North Carolina.  Ms. Hawkins transitioned on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at the Universal Health Care in Oxford, North Carolina.

A Memorial Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Coley Springs Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Warrenton, North Carolina.  The Reverend Carson F. Jones, Jr., Pastor will officiate.

Those left to cherish everlasting memories are:  her devoted and loving son, Steven W. Block of Durham, NC and his father Nathan Block of Silver Spring, MD; two grandchildren, Briana Block of Woodbury, NJ, Wesley Block of Cambridge, MA; three nephews, Muhammed Usman (Muna) of Columbus, OH, David A. Chester (Carol) of Worcester, MA, Scott H. Chester (Jill) of Leominster, MA; three nieces, Leisa LaMarr Weir (Kevin) of Fairfax, VA, Kathy L. Chester of Leominster, MA, Sharon McDougal of Durham, NC; and is predeceased by a niece, Lynda Hawkins. Her passing is also mourned by her many cousins, great nieces and nephews, other relatives, friends and former students and colleagues.

The family will receive visitors, colleagues and friends on Friday, August 13, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of R. H. Greene Funeral Home.
