Connie Lee Plummer Williams, daughter of the late Paul and Maggie Plummer, was born on November 12, 1957. After a brief illness she departed this life on December 26, 2019 at Duke Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.
At an early age, Connie was baptized and became a faithful member of New Providence Christian Missionary Baptist Church. She served on the Usher’s Board, missionary board, and was a member of the gospel choir.
She was educated in the Warren County School system and graduated from Norlina High School and later Connie earned an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Vance Granville Community College. Connie loved children and was employed by Jackie’s Daycare in Oxford, North Carolina.
Connie was united in holy matrimony to Kelvin Douglas Williams, Sr. on September 17, 1988 and to this union two children were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Maggie Plummer; three sisters, Arnetra Johnson, Mary Ann Davis, and Louise Price; one step-son Kelvin Douglas Williams, Jr.
Connie leaves to cherish her love: her husband; Kelvin; her son, Exavier Tyril; her daughter, Kevonnie; one granddaughter, Maliyah Kamara “Lee” Williams; her beloved fur baby Roscoe; two sisters, Helen (Al) Robinson and Janet Randolph; two brothers, Paul Plummer, Jr. and George Twitty; mother in law Magnolia Caudle; brothers in law, Ralph Davis, David Williams, Alonzo (Phyllis) Williams, Erwin Williams and Lindsey Williams; sisters in law Sheila Williams and Marietta (Mark) Hoffer; one godson, Torrey Davis; special friends, Barbara Swinton, Jackie Cozart, Katrina Reed, and Deborah Jones; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunt, other relatives and friends.
