Clara Plummer Clark

Thus it was on Saturday, November 25, 2017 quietly in peace with her maker, CLARA MAE PLUMMER CLARK was summoned from her earthly pilgrimage to her eternal home in Glory. She was born May 6,1953 in Ridgeway, North Carolina to the parentage of the late Edward Plummer and Mary Williams Plummer.

At an early age, she confessed Christ as her personal savior and joined the Ridgeway Missionary Baptist Church.  

She obtained her formal education in the public schools of Warren County, North Carolina graduating from the Norlina High School.  

Clara Mae loved her family and friends. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother, and often times became the second mother to many of her children’s friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: one sister, Muriel Plummer and four brothers,Edgerton Plummer, Jr., James Plummer, Alphonso Plummer and Joseph Plummer.

Clara Mae’s curtain has closed, but loving memories will forever be cherished by: three daughters,Latisha Harper, Latasha Harper and Rashida Clark all of Ridgeway, North Carolina; three sons, James Clark of Youngsville, North Carolina, Javonne Clark of Durham, North Carolina and Derrick Clark of Ocean City, New Jersey; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four sisters, Lucy Plummer, Freda Plummer, Cheryl Plummer and Patricia Plummer; a very special loving and devoted companion,Raymond Alston of Warrenton, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the gymnasium of Warren County Middle School, Warrenton, North Carolina. Bishop J. Terrell Alston will officiate and interment will follow in The Plummer Family Cemetery

Mrs. Clark will lie in repose in the chapel of R. H. Greene Funeral Home on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
