Cheryl Regina Smith

I come to the garden alone, while the dew is still on the roses.  And He walks with me, and he talks with me and He tells me I am his own.  With care and compassion, R. H. Greene Funeral Home is standing with the relatives of Ms. Cheryl Regina Smith, age 62 of Norlina, North Carolina.  Ms. Smith transitioned on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at her residence.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of New Providence Christian Missionary Baptist Church in Norlina, North Carolina.  The Reverend Kathard Marks, Pastor will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Everlasting memories will forever be cherished by:  two sisters, Altena Montague (Harol) of Henderson, North Carolina and Phyllis Smith (Willie) of Warrenton, North Carolina; two nieces, Ashlee Montague of Wise, North Carolina and April Alston (Alzee) of Kittrell, North Carolina; one great-nephew and godson, Kristopher Montague; four great-nieces, Camryn, Aliyah, Londyn and Avery; five godchildren who she loved as her very own, Shanita Henry, Shandria S. Rudd, Dha’mari Fields and Bianca Smith; eight aunts, Mildred Juanita Person of Wise, North Carolina, Mae Holland and Kate Dixon - ”her godmother” of Baltimore, Maryland, Henrietta Smith of Washington, D.C., Hattie Person of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Arlene Smith of Richmond, Virginia, Ella Mae Smith of Norlina, North Carolina and Minnie Smith of Bowie, Maryland; one uncle, James Smith of Bowie, Maryland; a host of cousins, classmates and friends.

Ms. Smith will lie in repose at R. H. Greene Funeral Home on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m.

The family will receive visitors and friends at the home of Phyllis Smith, 2178 Warren Plains Road in Warrenton, North Carolina.
