Andrew Lorenzo Carter

Andrew Lorenzo Carter, 62, affectionately known as “Brodie,” son of Deacon James, Sr. and the late Viola Carter, was born July 13, 1956 in Wise, NC. He departed this life in Wise, NC on January 18, 2019. Andrew was baptized at an early age, and joined the Bethlehem Baptist. He was educated in the Warren Public School System, and graduated from Norlina High School in 1974. The funeral service will be conducted Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 1:00 PM from Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Wise, NC. Reverend Preston Williams, Jr., Pastor, will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. He leaves to celebrate his life is his father, James Carter, Sr.; one son: Sherrod Carter (Fiancé, Latethia Bowden); six grandchildren: Kanijuah Williams, Alliyah Carter, Sherrod Carter, Jr., Tamaj Carter, and TaShir Brown; four sisters: Mildred Hendricks, Thelma Carter (Herbert) of Norlina, Yolanda Carter of Waldorf, MD, and Jackie C. Lassiter (George) of Hampton, VA; five brothers: Reverend James Carter (Alean) of Copiague Long Island, NY, Robert Carter (LaGretta) of Wise, Roy Carter (Catherine) of Soul City, Derrick Carter (Mary) of Warrenton, Erick Carter (Jamila) of Waldorf, MD; eleven nieces; fourteen nephews (two of whom were raised as his brothers: Tony Carter and Tavarrous Hendricks): four aunts and four uncles; his special friends: William Carter, Tom Harrington, Vincent Medley, William Edwards, Buck Edwards; and a host of other relatives and friends.
